Your best bet is to get the Haynes manual and work through their troubleshooting list on p. 21, section 8, one step at a time. Without hands-on, it is nearly impossible to diagnose your problem. People can make educated guesses, but the best approach is for you to take the time to do a systematic troubleshooting procedure such as that in the Haynes manual.

Not the instant solution you are looking for I know, but be patient, take a deep breath, sleep on it overnight, and start the troubleshooting fresh another day.

I've seen rx7 run 200mi trips on 1 rotor with the other being blown.

How is a TPS going to cause overheating? I mean if it was bad it would be bouncing in-between closed and open loop wile driving. I mean you can unplug it and run just fine.

ok car runs and drives fine now, even after being warmed up

it seems the problem just fixed itself, either that or its gonna come back again (but lets hope not)

if it was leaking fuel it could be the cause but u should replace it if its cracked with a new one anyways you dont want to be spilling fuel on a hot engine , its a good way to get your wiring harness and other **** burnt up. although i doubt it was leaking any fuel unless u can smell the aroma of gas around where the hose is

The o'rings were a mistake on my part. Only the turbo gets the o'ring and the first generation engines. Two. I thought I'd corrected myself several days ago. Must have hit the wrong key after posting.
