![Question](https://www.rx7club.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Does anyone have a diagram with the color codes of the power harness for a 87 TII. The harness that includes, the CAS, alternator, started, and some more sensors. Plus some wires that go the the transmission (standard trans.)

The series four wiring diagrams are available for a free download. The site is listed in the first thread on this site, the FAQ thread.
They look similar to this http://www.teamfc3s.org/forum/showth...threadid=31384

I have a manuel. But it doesn't specify which wires are in this particular harness. Forget about the color codes. Can someone post, what sensors are running through this harness.
I know these for sure. But what else goes in this harness?
1. CAS
2. Neutral Switch
3. Back-up light
4. Fifth gear switch
5. Starter
6. Alternator
Thanks

The TRUE Engine harness runs on the left side of the engine bay.
There is NO list of what each wire in the harness does. At least not on any list I know of.
But you can tell fairly easily. Just go to each wiring diagram and look at where they describe the wire color of a given wire. It will have in parenthesis a letter like (E) for engine harness, (EM) for emissions harness, (F) for front harness etc and on and on.
You seem to be dealing with the ENGINE harness. The one with (E) next to the wire colors on each schematic.
So if you look at the EGI Emissions schematic you can see that the cas, inhibitor switch, neutral switch, over the top switch are shown and if you go to the Start and Charging schematic you see the alternator, start motor signal, signal from the start circuit to the ECU are there and if you go to the Fuel Pump and Sub Zero you see the sub zero sensor, and if you go to the Meters and Warning you see oil pressure gauge unit, condenser for the oil sensor and the Turn and Hazard schematic you see a wire for the backup switch and if you go to Warning and Auto Clock you see oil level sensor and if you go to Power System you see all the fuses for the engine fuse box have wires in the Engine harness........................................... ...........
In other words at least I have no other ideas of how to find out other than the way you probably have been trying to see what wires go in the engine harness. Looking at each page of the schematics.
to the top with this one.

Thanks for the info. The harness Im looking at, unplugs from the main harness, and goes to the alt, starter trans,....... But its out of the car and IM trying to figure out where a few plugs go. It plugs up to the main harness about a foot form the fire wall with 4 different plugs.

Let's pretend you have but three plugs you know not where they go.
I think it would be best to describe each one. Like.......it's a four socket connector, wire colors W/B, R/L, B and the last YL. Then someone on this forum can look with you at the wiring diagrams and determine where that plug goes by looking at the plug configuration that is usually on the back of each wiring schematic or on the next page of the schematic.
It wouldn't take long to find what each of the three/four plugs do in life.
