Yes, the wing won't be doing much at 55mph, and also there will be very little drag from the wing at 55mph. THats what I'm trying to say. The drag will hardly be noticable, unless you are going on a top speed run.

Well then according to you alot of stuff doesnt have any purpose. If it doesn't make you go faster, handle, or brake better, its worthless?
When actually a wing will make you handle better, but who cares, Santiago thinks its trash, then we'll just listen to him. Forget all of the racer teams and tuners over the past 80 years doing research on the track. Spoilers must serve some purpose considering pretty much every track car has some sort of spoiler.

God Santiago, why don't you jsut shut your trap, cuz no one wants to here your crap. Do you even post something that doesn't say "thats rice".
Try going faster.
If a big wing adds styling to the the car in its owners eyes that all that matters.
Also, you can set up a wing that will give a very noticable amount of down force at less that 100mph.
Second there aren't any stability or traction problems with FC's that I have encountered

I belive that RE-A wind tunnel tested the FC2000 wing. Even then many CSR and DSR race cars that use very well designed wings, most of which are NOT wind tunnel tested. Not all of this type of stuff is a "black art" that cost lots of $$$, although if I did have a lot of money I could make a more efficient wing.
And who cares if it "rice" I am beginning to hate that word, although I used to use it a lot. Of course if someone has a 727 wing, or has a tiny wing that attaches to the car vis a structure that looks like the Efeil (sp) tower, that is just plain stupid.
Screw it I'm done, this crap is too dependant one someones opion.

did you ever stop to think that some of these wings are probably lighter i mean these companies use stronger and lighter materials such as carbon fibre and carbon kevlar? obviously these are reputable companies that have proven there parts worth and effectivness time and time again! ie RE Amemiya. i mean come on RE Amemiya isn't the best tuner of of RX-7's because there parts are "rice" therer the best beacause there parts are proven. you don't always need #'s to know somethings working. if you ride in a N/A and then a Turbo you know ones faster without needing to see #'s. so i can see when a wing is big and looks like its made of metal it scares you and when a wing is LARGER than stock it also scares but sometimes these wings are LIGHTER and do effect things like downforce and the way airflows off the back of the vehicle!!!!!
here is my immpression of some forum members
"i hate wings iu want my car to look stock like every other RX-7, body kit BAAAAAAA back in my day we had stock front bumpers and they were fine!!!!! these new fangled parts scare me because i don't understand them!!!!!!!"
i'm spent

I never said I hated wings. I hate rice. rice=useless **** that isn't making you go. Why spend 1k dollars on a front nose for your 86 base if you could do competition springs and struts and make it handle far better than a new front nose would. There isn't anything wrong with a stock car. All the new younger kids want to go out and buy an APC wing and slap it on to be "different" this isn't any different. Your not being an individual by following a trend. Its amazing how blind some of you guys are. If the poster of this thread needs a wing because he is going out and racing on a real track then more power to him. But if he is using his resources for a useless wing or other body component all I see is useless crap being bought. By that definition its rice. If you buy new tires it is a good investment, if you buy lighter wheels its a good investment but hell you don't need a star wars body kit to make your car cool. A lot of the cars on this forum that are simply beautiful are stock on the outside. They look fabulous. And can you explain how I don't understand "these new fangled parts" ? how am I scared of them? I know what a wing is "supposed" to do. But do they? You can only trust a name brand "so" much. Quality and reputation is one thing but buying something that costs hundreds of dollars without some form of proof or atleast a "claim" is walking into trouble.

i'm not saying your the one who is against or "scarred" ibut some people are just against anything that isn't stock. well if i were to take there idea we should all leave the engines stock and just post about how we races another turbo and tied and the we lost to a good driver of another turbo. sometimes a good or well built vehicle is good all around. i mean it could be fast as hell but not aestheticaly pleasing. have a nice looking car is almost as much fun as having a fast car. (keyword "almost") i mean having people ask what kind of car it is and the being completely dumbfounded when you tell them its a late 80's rx-7 is pretty freakin fun!

Great thinking Santiago, I think I'll rip out my whole interior because it slows me down. Who needs a stereo. I'll just take my paint down to the bare metal and clear coat, that added "bling-bling" of paint is just added weight, and doesn't make me any faster. Maybe I'll chop my roof off so I can go faster.
Many people interpret cars as different things. Some see it as their performance toy, or their extension of themselves, others see it as their canvas. Some people want a car to look good aswell.

SO HOW ABOUT GETTING BACK TO THE TOPIC!!!
I F*CKING hate how people constantly butcher other peoples threads on here! Its ridiculous, and really getting tiresome! We need a damn section just dedicated to this kind of meanless bickering!
Anyways, RHDturboII, which of the wings do you prefer or leaning towards? Like I posted before, I like the RE-Amemiya and R-Magic, because they are both pretty close to the stock look, and fit the body lines well...

eyecandy,
I like both the R-magic and the re-amemiya one. I like the re-amemiya a little better though. Both of them fit the lines of the FC. The R-magic one looks better if you have the R-magic rear bumper I think...I can get the R-magic one in a much better price though...Hmmm...
Where did you get the re wing from if you do not mind?
