Windshield Wipers woes

I'm having a little problem with my windshiled wipers. They only work in one speed (I) and when you turn them off they stay about where they are. The squirters do work however.
Also, the back windshield wiper does not work, and either does the washer.
I'm wondering if you guys have had any problems like this, and where you think the problem might lay. I may try and get off that whole panel in a little while to check and see if the switch, wiring, or the motors themselves.

I have the same problem with mine, but they'll go back to the origional possition on off. II and int and mist do not work, but I don't have a rear wiper. I would check the fuses, but where the manual says they are it seems I would have to cut through metal to get to them (Why the hell would they put fuses there!!??) Sorry you have the same problem, I would also like to know if this has happened to anyone else and if they have fixed it. It doesn't really bug me, but having to keep turning them on and off gets tedious.

This is very common problem that has been covered many times, you may wish to use the search function found in the upper right hand corner of this page, next time.

The relay inside your wiper switch is bad. there may be other issues as well, but that is the main issue. You will need to repair or replace the switch first.

You can replace the relay yourself if you are mechanically and electrically inclined, or you can send the switch to me and I will replace both relays for $60+ shipping (only $40 + shipping if you have don't have a rear wiper). You can PM me or email me (icemark@earthlink.net) if you would like me to do it for you. I do use sealed higher current versions of the relay for longer life and less failure and don't chop up the plastic as described in the DIY version.

If you would like to attempt it yourself the standard write up can be found here: http://fc3s-pro.com/TECH/HOWTO/WIPER/wiper.html
