does anyone know how to get the trim peice that inside the car opposite of the rear veiw mirror off(eletric side veiw mirrors)? my manual only tells me how to take off one with manual side veiw mirrors.

CAREFULLY!...it is one of the most prone to cracking and tabs breaking off. No real good way cept to take your time, pray to the rotary gods and perhaps offer up a little blood to the gods first.
But seriously have taken off 3 diff ones two were damaged third got lucky...

pop the panel from the front of the car, then slide it to the rear of the car.

Mazda still sells them, about $35 each. They don't have many left...
They changed the design though, they are no longer metal and have a plastic coating. No more rusting
I got mine about 2 years back...
