Question Winding Up Noise Durring Acceleration...

Topic basicaly says it, my car makes a kind of winding up noise that gets progressivly louder as I accelerate. I've heard it in other cars I think but I just started hearing it in my car, could be that I usualy play my music rather loud and right now my deck is borked so I hear all the rattling platic peices and my exhaust leak, that sounds like a BOV
Anyways if anyone knows what this noise is it would be great to know, tks

Hmmm....That's a wierd one. I've had something like that happen when my shifter *** was loose, but that's sort of a shot in the dark.

Well I can hear it comming from outside the car... my shifter **** is loose though... also my entire shifter can turn in circles... but I dunno what that would have to do with it.

Ahh my power steering is intermitent right now, going on and off.. usualy on for the first lil bit of driving and then just stops working a couple hundred yards from where I started... I'm pretty sure it's the front of the car though...

got a long screwdriver/etension/metal pipe?you can use it kind of like a shethoscope, with your ear pressed against it and touching the other end against diff. parts of the car[p.s.pump etc.]to try and isolate the noise.works real well, but better be real carefull with moving parts in there.good luck!

It's the tranny bearings. Put some synthetic fluid in there and hope it doesn't die. Or have it rebuilt...
