![Question](https://www.rx7club.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
ok, i was gonna do a engine swap. 90 into a 88. but i dont think i have enough experience or time for a project that big. i was just informed about the omp differences, and all.
so my plan now is, since this car ran before. i am going to just get it running and drive it till it stops then rebuild what i have. BUT..... i want to use the intake manifold from my 90 engine, is that possible and if so does anyone have any tips or suggestions

Don't think so. At least easily anyway. You want the VDI because its a better set up right.
Unfortunately you would have to figure out a way to make the VAC lines from your 88 to hook up so the VDI will open up correctly...... I thought about doing this too, but I thought it would be harder to get the VDI to work in my 86 rx7. You've probably noticed that the emissions rack for the 88 and the 90 are different. And the VDI has more VAC lines going around. But then again, who knows, I didn't do it this way so it might be easier...I have a habit of making things more difficult for myself.
