Question Will it start w/o dash installed?

I have my 86 GXL all stripped down and I am currently doing the body work. Will it start without the dash installed? I want to back it out of the garage degrease the engine bay and strip all the wax off the parts I have not already worked on. I would rather not put the dash back in until after I get my new carpet installed, which will be after the paint is done. I know I should just put the battery in and try it, but I just don't want to screw something up.
Thanks

Thumbs up Thanks

I will roll it out now, clean it up and drive her back into the garage. I have a wonderful 20-25 degree slope on my driveway so pushing it back up may be difficult alone. Thanks guys. I s/b done with the restoration next summer. I am keeping it stock. It will look great. I hope!
