Will running alcohol help lower HC and CO % levels?
Just got my emissions done and I have very high Hydrocarbons and CO levels. This pretty much means I am running rich, I have an SAFC installed from the previous owner but I have no clue how to run it. Would running alcohol reduce my levels? I am at 262/215, 168/173 allowed for HC and 2.77/3.41, 1.08/0.98 allowed fpr CO%.
Can anyone tell me how to take fuel out via the SAFC?

Use the S-AFC to lean out the percentage a little from 0 to 3000 rpm's, lean it enough to where it idles slightly lower but will still hold an OK idle and will still drive properly. The S-AFC should be enough, you shouldn't have to use alcohol.

You'll be able to do more in the 2-3k range than at idle simply because the more you take out at idle the more it will not want to stay running. Start the car, go into the 0-1000 rpm range on the S-AFC, and start taking fuel out slowly when the car is at operating temp. Once the car starts to chug and want to die, take a few points off and richen it up a tad so you have a semi-steady idle.
Now for the 2-3k range be careful, you do not want to take out TOO much fuel otherwise the car will drive pretty shitty. Also, you have turbo so just make sure you're not changing the fuel corrections ANYWHERE you will have boost. I don't know when your turbo starts to spool up, but keep this in mind. You don't want to be subtracting too much fuel from ranges that will have boost introduced and possibly cause some knocking. Keep that in mind.
