My car will not go past 20 mph has no power. This car has been sitting for 2 years at a friends house and I took it over and I gave it a tune up (plugs cables ect.). And I don’t know what else to do. Dose anyone have any ideas? Any help will be appreciated

The living dangerously method of testing for blocked cat:
1. Drive car for 20 mins.
2. Stop car and put it in neutral.
3. Open door and look under car.
4. Look for anything out of the ordinary, such as flames shooting out of your bright orange glowing cat.

Okay...geez guys, I'm surprised nobody picked this up yet....
ATF TRICK!!!! Disable the ignition and fuel(fuse on drivers side strut tower, closest to engine, should be EGI) Take the bottom plugs out and squirt like a 1/4 quart of ATF(automatic transmission fluid) into each of the holes. Turn the car over a few times, put the OLD plugs back in(this will ruin the plugs). Let it sit for 24 hrs...go start it up, let it heat up and then go redline a few times......IT WILL SMOKE A LOT....
That would be my first thing to check, then exhaust, ECU would be good too.

Nobody said that because the majority of people dont like dumping transmission fluid into their combustion chambers... The ATF trick should be resorted to under a last ditch effort. it would no be something I would do to my car just because. I know that some people have done it and claimed that the car seemed to run better, and this may be true, but I would not recommend it unless as a last resort.

if you had a back pressure tester you plug it in before the main cat to see if the cat is clogged, if the pressure is high before the cat would mean it was clogged, i would start with a conpression test...
