![Question](https://www.rx7club.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I am planning on getting a rb downpipe/presilencer and maybe an apexi intake for my 90 TII and wanted to know if adding a fd fuel pump would be enough, fuel wise. Would I still need a fcd and/ or bigger secondaries, or should the fd fuel pump be sufficient.

My standard fuel pump was good for about 100-120rwKw before it started to not supply enough fuel.
Forget about the FCD - they are a poor substitute for a proper Engine Management system.

So what is the proper set up with DP, intake, catback, and FCD. I ordered an FD fuel pump thinking that it would help with detonation. Don't want to blow this engine with only 68k. Should I install the fuel pump?, remove the FCD. $$ is limited, so what should I do to get the speed safely?.

You'll need an FCD.  The FCD works fine up to 10-12psi.  The FD fuel pump gives you about 10%-20% more capacity over the stock FC turbo fuel pump - this should support up to about 300bhp; the stock FC turbo fuel pump can support up to about 250bhp.  Keep in mind the voltage drop through stock electrical:

So it sounds like I should be fine with the fd fuel pump, as long as i make sure it is getting enough current.
Thanks guys

OK, i guess i will have to get the fcd also. I just installed boost and a/f ratio gauges.

Thanks Ryde _Or_Die, i will order a fcd along with the other mods. Do some work better than others or do they all work the same. I will problably just order the rb fcd since that is where i will be getting the dp/presilencer.
