As long as you have the additonal power to turn and the brakes to slow the increased rotational inertia along with suspension that can control the extra unsprung weight, you should gain corner speed...generally.
I wonder what size tires Tri-Point engineering used when they campaigned their widebody second gen and dominated. Look at Mazdaspeeds vert race car, widebody with big tires and thats not even a turbo car.

TriPoint kit for the flared front and flared rear fenders is only $1K. However shipping will be bank and I'm sure installation of the rear flares even more like RXHeven said.
You can get custom CCW wheels (FL) for about $2K in essentially any size/offset you want. 18x10 and 18x12 for an FD I was quoted $2K not shipped. Then add $1K-1300+ for tires/balancing etc.
