wideabnd o2 question?

Looking to add a wideband o2 sensor and gauge in my 87 S4. Can i take out the o2 sensor and replace it with the wideband, or do i have to add another bung for the wideband sensor?

The sensor won't last long in the stock location. 36" from the exhaust ports is the recommendation.

That is true for just about any Bosch sensor but not the NTK's.

For the OP, you'll need the controller unit as well. You cannot put just the 5V w/b sensor in and expect it to work. In fact, my suggestion, if you'd like to run a wideband in the car, is to get an actual wideband product with sensor and gauge and run it in a second O2 sensor bung in the downpipe. That way you can keep the 1V narrowband sensor in for the EFI system's closed O2 loop function.
