wide fenders

I am looking after wider front and rear fenders on my car.
I have been looking at the mariahmotorsports kit, but it looks like a lot of work fitting it whit my bn-sport kit. I also have been looking at raceonusa`s 3cm fenders but i don`t like the look of it couse only the top of the fender will be 1" wider than the door and the rear bumper. Does anyone know of some kits that also invalve wider doorpanel? and if so, where can I get it?

dude...i think we have the same kit so i'll say this...I had the race on fenders and they did not work well with my kit, there was also a 1" gap from rear seam to door skin....but your car looks awesome...if you do find wider fenders that work let me know!

If you're referring to the Mariah Mode 6 or Racing GTO they will not work with bn-sport, raceon or any other "kit" Mode 5 might work.
Take a look at their EProduction front fenders. Very nice pieces, and work well with OEM Mazda front nose.
Call Mariah and ask for Jim.

Other ones to try would be the Tri-Point flares, they're the biggest commercially available. If the group buy is still on there's some even wider ones available. Corksport has front fenders and Auto RnD has some front and rear fenders as well. As with just about any aftermarket body stuff, some modifiction should be expected to get it to fit right. I don't know of any aftermarket kits that go into the door, to get that you'd have to go custom AFAIK.

there were a set of wide fenders i saw a while ago that i liked alot. they were like the raceon front fenders but the entire back of them that had been widened was open. this opening was directly in front of the doors.

sorry to hijack the thread but i was just wondering if anyone knew if these fenders still existed.

thank you for your time and help,
TR

I'm pretty sure Corksport makes rear over-fenders which can be molded in without a problem. There's actually a guy that just asked for pics of them on a car.
Also, I don't recall seeing any kits where the doors were also wider, its usually just the fenders. I don't think I would like the look of wider doors, but maybe thats just me.
And I agree, thats a very nice looking car. I especially like how the wheels look with that kit. Usually not a fan of super thin spokes, but it works well with that car.
On an unrelated note, do you not have EU tags in Norway? I know ya'll aren't full EU members there, but I thought you would have the standard EU plates.

Going into the doors looks good IMHO. Here's a pic of one done that way. The consensus was that it was custom.

Hopefully this alleviates your concern.

What you need is the full 50mm wide fender as i have. These are the MSports ones but i believe Origin has made the same ones and I get a CRAZY GREAT DEAL.

It transitions nicely with my GP Sports kit which is very similar to yours.

If you want em I can price it out international for you. Ship as commercial sample too.

What size rear wheel are you using with that 50mm rear fender? Are you using a spacer? TIA and sorry of this is a bit off topic.

Ya unfortunately when i preordered the wheels I didn't have the fenders. I got uber lucky and went to a friend's shop in LA, he said a customer backed out on the 50mm FC fenders. THE REAL ONES, i was like OMG **** ok i'll take em. Keep in mind i've had this stuff for like 5 years now and just barely put time into this project so it lags. There were no other Japan clean line fenders really out there of this quality.

In any case the ideal offset imho for a 10" wide wheel is a -6 with a 265/35/18. That's what i currently have on my other set of wheels.

These are basically a 10" +0 i think in that picture, including the 25mm spacer. Those wheels aren't on the car anymore. I have some AME wheels with AN INSANE LIP.

Peace. Rishie

The fenders on mine are 50mm as well, but were advertised as 30mm. the wheels in the rear are 10" +18, They are not flush as you can see from the picture, but work perfectly fine. I would recommend as ARD did find some real fenders, most copys are junk, mine were not great to throw on by myself.

Corksports front fenders looked nice! Norway got some new plates simmilar to the EU plates this fall, but we dont need to change the old ones.

Your car is awsome! Still, I`m not sure how the fenders will do whit my wide skirts.
I can change the side skirts and`make the skirt on the rear fender go little less out at the wheels. How much do you think the rear fenders will cost with shipping?

I got GP Sports front fenders and now GP SPorts has produced the 50mm rear fenders as well.

I'm currently trying to work something out with GP Japan to bring the stuff back over here. All the prior importers just screw up and the product disappears. I wish people could plan and budget better.

I'll need to setup a GB of sorts to get a decent size order together so we can initiate the process. Shiet, we were the company moving the majority of the stuff anyways.

They are not cheap tho if you go authentic, I think i spent nearly over $500.00 on the rear fenders and another similar amount for the fronts without shipping.

Thanks, Rishie

incase any one was wondering about the corksport front fenders. they are absolute crap for what you pay for them. my friend bought some, i painted them for him and helped install them. they fit like crap and dont even have the bolt holes drilled in them. if they were better quality i would recommend them because i think they look great. but for now they are a waste of money.

^you mean the corksport panspeed replica front fenders i have? The fitment really wasnt that bad. Considering I only paid 100 for the pair, they work great. Mine came with holes predrilled, I just cut my old fender, tossed these on with some body adhesive and rivets and there ya go. The real panspeed fronts are quite expensive for such alittle body panel. The raceoneusa rear fenders were by far worse for fitment, but some trimming, sanding, and work they went on fine

I was talking about the fenders posted in my pics, they are the corksport overfenders, not the front wide fenders
