wickkity wack slip slap with pat problem
ok sometimes my car likes to idle really badly, and when i press the gas, it boosts hard, and sometimes even creeps, but it will accelerate very slowly. this is an intermittent problem.
i have an 87 T2 with a downpipe, HI-6, removed ACV/air pump, and ultra wires.
most people say its the HI6 malfunctioning, but when i first connected it, i did a bad job crimping and it came disconnected from the battery, so my leading plugs werent firing. and that was not the same as what is happening now.

The culprit could very well be a bad vacuum line somewhere. I would check and recheck those. I never crimped but soldered my Pro-Pak, so i wouldn't have that problem. Also check your turbo inlet duct and make sure you're not taking in any more air after the MAF. Also the I/C hoses. Don't go by your stock gauge either, they're worthless.

Hey Funklord,
I found my vacuum leak by purchasing a stethescope from the parts store $10.00, but removed the little rod hanging out of it (cause its for finding vibrations etc.) and inserted a peice of hose 1/4' dia. or so, then just put the hose end near where a leak might be and you can hear and isolate it.
