Yo,

As long as the thing isn't going into the crusher, do what you have to do with it to make it enjoyable. Mine was stupid clean when I got it, that's why I've kept it so nice.

So get out that heatgun and start stripping out all the asphalt!

i have an 86 na base model and fortunate enough for me, that is what showed up in my drive way instead of anther "mee too" honda. cant we all just get along and **** all over anyone with pistons........(ill take that cx hatch out with no problems) i mean we are different than all the other people out there, how many times have you heard "hey is that a 4 cylinder" and then watch their jaw drop when you say "it doesnt have cylinders, it has pretty triangles" we are all owners of one unique piece of machinery, turbo or not. all I have to say is that id rather drive an rx7 than any other import (well almost any other)........cause in an rx7 your a person not a number.

No really, guys, N/As can be super-sweet. I own a turbo, but it's just not much fun to drive around town - it's got no low-end punch (until the boost hits ) and it's heavy. I'm going to buy a S4 N/A for my girlfriend - it's a simple car that we can both work on, it looks good, and "it'll beat up on ricers" (her only qualification, verbatim - I love that girl). My TII is more of a "I think I'll go embarras (sic) a 5.0 owner today"/"I need to get to 60 MPH NOW!" car...

I also like N/As because they can get more than 15 MPG in the city - my TII just CAN'T!

n/a's are cool.. i would like to drive a T2 but, I think i would go for the supercharger mod from mariah motorsports. Just to keep the engine simple. Also with the supercharger you don't have a hood scoop.

top speed is all about gearing and RPM. you could have a 70 horsepower car that goes 250 MPH if you have a high enough gear and high enough engine speed. It will take all day to get there but it will get there. And so the NA being able to spin faster will actually give you a higher top speed. The turbo makes the torque though and so it will accelerate more quickly. But acceleration isn't all about torque, you need power to produce torque. It's called physics.

Explain why my GXL would run out of steam at 140, but my TII will hit 150 easily.

no, you are forgetting about wind resistance. theoretically a stock n/a should reach around 210mph. but it doesnt because half of the energy spent is used to overcome wind resistance. you have to have the power to get there. play GT3 with a low hp car you'll see. but if there was no such thing as friction you would be correct
