why does my left muffler hang lower?
I just installed monday my RB header/presilencer/cat-back and after I got everything bolted in and all the hangers it I noticed this:
the driver side one hangs lower...
but it sounds sooo nice
the rubber hangers looked like in good shape and everything lined up but it came out looking like that.
ps; like the liscene plates? :P

I have an HKS old school exhaust, and one side hangs lower then the other. I bent the hangers to the best of my ability and got it fairly straight, but its still not perfect. I think it got mangled up during shipping, maybe thats what happened in your case.

There are 2-3 different factors in hang.
1. Your exhaust hangers are old. Replacing them will most likely fix the sag.
2. Your engine mounts are old. One side may be worn more than the other, causing one side to sag.
3. Damage during shipping. Highly unlikely on RB products, as the build quality and shipment packaging is all A+.
Racing Beat claims that replacing the engine mounts and exhaust hangers WILL correct all sag problems.

the damage during shipping was just a few scratches cause it was a bunch of exhaust parts in a two huge boxes, they are gunna rub.
I'm just gunna bend away at the hangers next week.

I have dual Apex'i N1s and the driver side hangs lower also. Changed all the hanger donuts and etc. Exhaust shop said the only way for me to make it perfectly straight is to cut and readjust the muffler/piping.

Its warping caused from welding, usually when installed, or possibly from construction. Good luck trying to weld a Y-split type dual exhaust straight. Damn near impossble lol.
