I am in the process of doing my n/a to TII swap and ive read you cant use the j-spec ecu why is that? i mean i come from the 240sx community and you must use the jdm ecu or it will not work unless u go standalone so this isnt making any sence to me why you couldnt use it and not have problems.

Something with the secondary fuel injectors? Never personally dealt with it, but it seems to be a problem for some.

Haven't we covered this N374 problem before... 9 times out of 10 the ECU won't fire the rear injector, simple as that. They are programed different. Some say you can put a Knightsport chip replacement in it and they work. I haven't tried this but I have heard of people that have done this with great results...

And someone has already mentioned that they swap right over...
Not the guy who replied, but someone who a better reputation.
Was it Banzai Racing?
I dunno...I don't want to dig for it right now.

Someone also mentioned it had to do with a J-spec instrument cluster, but that was a hoax too.

I think the majoroity of the J-spec ECU's are JUNK.
Think about it...
"Knightsport" *IS* a J-spec ECU chip.
So how do you justify swapping a modded J-spec chip is the cure for a stock J-spec ECU???

mine has a stock n374. works perfect, but I want to install a chip for basic bolt ons.

most of the ECUs are pulled from half cuts and wrecks that sit in a junk yard for years open to the weather.

mine iwll have a intake, midpipe, and catback all 2 1/2 inch. How will you be able to tell if the ecu is bad other than obvious symtoms. like you guys were saying isnt giving fuel to the rear rotor?
