Why are all FC front wheels offset to the right?

Why are all FC front wheels offset to the right?
Test it out for yourself.
Put two wheels and tires on with equal dimensions, offsets, etc.
Now, look straight down from the left fender and do the same for the right fender. You'll notice that the right wheel sticks out noticeably more than the left wheel.
WHY IS THAT??????

Every single FC I've ever seen has been like that.
Even all the ones at Rotorfest.
I don't think every single FC in the NE has a bent front subframe.
Every single FC stored at KDR was the same way.
Next time I come up to Toronto, (next month), we should meet up, and I'd like to take a look at your front wheels.

Well how much of a difference are you talking about?
I've got no noticeable difference......several thou? Maybe, but I dunno.
But both my wheels are pretty well flush with the fenders, neither sticks out or in (to the naked eye) more then the other.
I'm going to peek at a parts car in the yard in a couple minutes.

A stock GXL in the yard seems fine. *Maybe* like a mm if anything, but its hard to gauge off the actual fenders since the "offset" might be produced by them. Plus the tire sidewalls on its stock rims are kinda bushed.
Only real way to tell would be tramming the width, and measuring a center off the strut towers.

I looked at the parts car again and it does appear to be over slightly........by slightly, I mean **slightly** like ~1mm. But it could simply be mental at this point.
Out of sheer curiosity I've trammed out the wheel width, and it is indeed centered in the body (otherwise the car would dogtrack) so any variance has to be in the body panels with one sitting further out on the wheel then the other.......by about 1mm on this car.

Lives on the Forum
Due to the popularity of roundy round racing in North America the Mazda engineers decided to make the car asymmetrical to help it out on the ovals.
No, but seriously, it's probably just tolerace stacking or something.
