Who wants to go to JAPAN?
Alright so here's the deal. I'm heading to Japan in mid July - Mid August, and I had a buddy who was going to come with me till money starting to become a problem. Now here's the real problem, if I was going to just look at temples & museums I'd be fine, but I'm not, I'm going to enjoy all the things that I can't experience here, things like mountain roads and hot springs and mountain roads, food and mountain roads
( I'm still gonna do the other stuff..... kinda lol), but having a travel buddy who's really into driving, NOT JUST INTERESTED but INTO, NOT CURIOUS but INTO DRIVING would just be the best!
I have most things set up , and bonus for you, you save lots of $$$$$, just take care of your flight/food/shelter and your good to go.
Quick run down of myself: Male, 24, into cars/racing amoung other things, listen to all types of music etc.
Cheers!

I'm in Chicago and I think you read my mind while i was asleep...lol. How long do you plan on going for and about how much are the tickets. I am 23 and did something similiar to this in Greece a couple years ago.
P.S. is there a way to combine mountain springs and mountain roads...

I WOULD agree that it's weird, but I just got my passport and can't wait to take a trip over-seas. If I were single I would probably also search for someone to join me.

Which mountain are these roads located on? Broke Back? lol
What are you intending on driving on these roads? a rental or you got some tuners over there
Sorry, I do not mean to "FLAME" your post, but you did that yourself.

wow, it's strange how many haters are on here putting down a new idea. Yea it's not the most normal thread, but if this person wants to go there and wants to find a friend to roll with, would this not be one of the best places to search? And what's wrong with brotherly love anyways? I'm by no means gay or even thinking of anything sexual, but I love to experience things, especially traveling, with a brother by the side. Besides, we're all just a gigantic extended family anyways.
Anyways, I plan to study abroad in Japan during my sophomore or junior year, but I'm still a freshman so I still have a little time to prepare.
On another note, there are so many wonderful roads here...I don't see going there and spending such a large amount of money easily justified by just driving around. You really gotta consider the cost of the things you want in life and there are many 'hidden' costs when traveling to a place like that. Do you speak Japanese? Do you like fish/seafood? Do you like 14 hour plane flights (that cost probably $2k at least)? Idk, I think if the timing is right and you set up your trip right then it would be so worth it.
I want to go, but I would like to take a couple japanese language classes first, and I want to do a student exchange program, that way I can actually afford to go there, and stay there (probably for 5-6 months). Japan might be JDM mad tyte yo, but honestly I'm sure it's a freaking awesome place to travel and I wanna go for so many reasons beyond the mountain roads and the vtec.
