On this page they have the Pdf of the RB article, which shows difference between carb and EFI power output. And a load of other good stuff.

Here's a pic of a friend's RB Dellorto setup on a 2nd gen with custom cold air box that seals up to a TII hood. It uses the stock efi fuel pump regulated down to 3.5psi with a Mallory 4309 (3 port with return line and vacuum/pressure reference) regulator. Runs great.

My 1st gen (with a STOCK S4 engine) ran a 13.96 1/4 mile. Same setup- Racing Beat Dellorto, exhaust, etc.

Street ported 13B built by racing beat.

Dave Lemon has one spinning to 10K RPM in his race car that has its specs somewhere on the forum. However that is taking it to the limit. Can't remember the HP numbers.

It has turbo style mirrors and convertible rims. GET IT!!! It looks clean as hell!!!
As for the carb setup, I recommend it as far as someone who really knows what they are doing sets it right. Some benefits are no more tps related bad idle, no limiters (with 6A) if you want limiter get 6AL , no fuel cut and best of all NO MORE FLOODING AT STARTING.
I went turbo/carb on my GXL this is what I did:

Replaced the cas with an 83 distributor
Replaced coils with two msd blaster 2
Replaced side housings with TII ones (optional)
Atkins 2MM Apex Seals
Installed two msd 6A's
Racing beat turboII manifold (Also available for 6 port)
4011 650cfm spreadbore holley marine.
Aeromotive 13301 FPR
Walbro 255 lph Fuel Pump
My friend did the custom manifold (He did the one for the drag RX-7, and my carb settings) the space between the carb and the turbo is about 20 inches.
TII Turbocharber
Turbonetics Blow-thru
HKS racing adjustable Bolw-Off
MSD spark plug wires
Ported exhaust
Replaced the pwer valves with power valve plugs (carb)
Eliminated vaccum, secondaries are set to open only when I slam it to the floor.
Yes it is still a high compression engine WITHOUT PROBLEMS OR BLOW SEALS (I know there are some of you who still don't believe what you have not done for yourselves)
I'll post pics as soon as I can.
