Who has HKS Twin Power Ignition installed?

Who has HKS Twin Power Ignition installed?
tried searching and found no one had install the HKS Twin power system into their FC.
I like it cause of size, power requirements, does leading and trailing , price is no issue.
I kniow the FD has a harness option so it makes it so much easier to install. so that is why most FD have it as well as they have more money..
Has anybody done this ?
Have you tried to use other Igintion amplifiers?
How did the install go?
Are you happy with how much you paid for what you got ?
Thanks

I saw this when browsing the net as well, I wondered about this product. I typically look down upon these systems, but if the rotaries have poor ignition systems then this would be a good product. It would be good for old members to shed some light upon FC's stock ignition and if it would benefit any from this product.

I do hear good reviews on the Jacobs ignition pack.

$500 is not what I call "cheap".
You can get a Mallory HyFire VI-A for $120 from Summit Racing.
This is a single-channel device, but if you buy three of them to handle leadings and both trailings, it's still $360.
Now, if one of those HyFire's fails, you need to just replace one of them.
If your HKS Twin Power fails, you need to buy another $500 unit.
Advantage to HKS Twin Power for a more compact chassis though...
For mildly modded RX-7's, a CDI box only on the leadings is good enough.
So it's comes down to $120 versus $500...

I never said they were cheap, but I do remember they dropped in price. Here's the cheapest I found. Unless there are different models for the twin power?

Both the one Ted and I posted are listed as rotary specific and the same model # so I guess there are more than 1 model for rotaries? The one Ted posted was from rxecret7 and I think they would know to list the correct twin power unit for us.

There is a "rotary" specific model of the Twin Power, and it's typically the most expensive.

Go with an Autronic or MoTeC multi-channel CDI box if price is not an issue.

I installed a Jacobs FC1000 ignition box and noticed a gain in throttle response and a low end gain and seems to rev better to redline. Feels like it has more power down low when taking off from a stop.
Well worth the money and very easy to install. http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...=egnsearch.asp

The nice things about the twin power, is that its not as much as power hog as other spark boxes, also it doesnt change the spark , but just makes it stronger, you really dont want multiple spark on the trailings, the one package is cleaner, and draws alot less amps.. Ive seen a dyno sheet comparison of an FD stock ign to Twin power, and it added about 12 hp with no other mods which was suprising..
Stay far away from the Mallory spark boxes, you get what you pay for , and those things are total CRAP...I went through 2 on my dodge before I got one that worked right, they have a liking for advancing the timing 50 deg's all by themselves, lots of others besides myself have had that problem with those boxes..Its a dice roll first time you turn the key after install..
I am not even a fan of the msd boxes, my car runs better without it.. The best boxes I have seen myself are the twin power and the Ultra CDI box, I havent had any experience with the autronic or the FC 1000 yet..max

Be ready for the ~$1,000 price!
There's really no reason to be putting a CDI box on the trailings unless you're running over 400hp and / or going over 20psi of boost.

I just installed the Twin Power. Before I was getting tons of misfire with my untuned 1000cc secondaries. Now most of the misfire is gone (still untuned). The unit is super easy to install, only 4 wires and is amazingly small.
