Wow. I must have overlooked this thread. My blue Turbo I paid $2500 for (back then it was just a lowly N/A), but my 'vert was $0. I had a '67 Mustang give to me that I traded even for it.

My RX-7
This is my 1989 Turbo II, I paid $7700 CDN for it. (Just under $5000 USD). It is in perfect working order and has no rust.
As of right now it sits at 290,000 KMS (180,000 miles).
Never winter driven.

I got my 89 turbo 2 for free, kinda of. The car had no motor or tranny but it did have a custom welded in 6 point cage. I got it in exchange for swapping motors in the guys 93 rx7. It worked out great for me. My 87 turbo 2 which is perfect I actually paid a good amount for, since it is perfect.

I paid $200 dollars for mine back in 2000. 87 GXL w/130000 mi. I work for a car dealership, a woman came to trade it in, they were gonna give her 100, so I doubled it. Everything worked, interior is perfect. She ran good up until 20000 miles later. I think I got the best deal, I would rather rebuild the motor than sell it.

Well I know I got a good deal for mine! I bought a 1990 NA, 165600km on the odometre. The people I bought it from said they checked all the electrical including fuses. Had a Compression test done by some guy and said there was no compression. Figured the engine was blown....of course it must of been. So I check it out with a friend, realizing it is more then likely NOT blown I buy the car for $2000 Canadian dollars. Take it home, replace the blown Main 100amp fuse in the engine bay, realize the gas tank is on E, yes thats right folks the tank was empty. $8 of gas later and some new spark plugs and the new fuse and it started up. Still some minor problems with it, but nothing major, it runs and is on the street. Here is a pic from the day I bought it at my house. Sorta dirty in the pic but oh well. (my friends Lebaron in the background)
