white smoke... bad seals?
hehehe reving my engine at the drive-in after watching the fast and furious, but there was a problem.... There was white smoke coming out of my exhaust at like 6 rpms with the pedal to the floor. My friend with me said that it might be bad engine seals, which would mean a re-build. Does anyone know of a good re-build place in Ohio? I'm about an hour west of Cleveland, and i don't want to go to far but i will if i have to. I don't want to go to the Mazda dealership.
Thanks guys.

could be, maybe just bad corner seals, i had a black rx7 with bad corner seals, when i shifted above 6k rpm it would leave a huge cloud of white smoke where i shifted, looked freaking cool out the back window, would be even better if i was killing some honda and they got lost in the smoke LOL, i swear it was a huge cloud of smoke when i shifted, it was almost as wide as the whole road lol, but it had great power so i just put oil in whenever it needed it, uses more oil, and that could be why your car is not accelerating right though, maybe one of the apex seals is bad. good luck

i have noticed that when i miss a shift and go a bit over redline i will shoot a puff of white smoke out of the tailpipe. this is with no cats and straight thru exhaust. i may not notice it with a cat on...

phooey I don't want bad seals of any kind. and i do have a garage but i'm not allowed to use it. I checked my oil and antifreeze the next day to see if i could see any mixing of the two with each other, but i couldn't see any oil with antifreeze or anitfreeze on my oil dip stick. although i don't know how easy they would be seen anyways. Could clogged cats have anything to do with it? (I hope)
Thanks for the help guys!

Call around and see if someone can do a compression check for you. And see how many Rotaries they have worked on, a specialty shop would be best or maybe the Mazda dealer. You might also call RP in Dallas and talk to Chris or one of the guys to find out how one is done right. They always have helped me out with advice. ( www.rx7.com ).
