Wheres the diffy breather?

Mine whines between 35 and 50 MPH, and I heard there is a breather that can be cleaned. I replaced an output seal, and oil still gets forced out. Anyone got pics? I own the repair manual, and I cant find it in there. Suggestions, or pics would be really appreciated, Thanx guys

Beats me. You can probably get the brass cover off, but I still dont know if you could clean it from there. You would probably be better off getting a universal diff breather and make an adapter to let it screw in place of the stock one.

after looking it seems as if you absolutely have to drop the diffy to get at it. Is this true?

It will be very tight, but you should have enough room if you pull off the heatshield in front of the gas tank. But the diff isnt that hard to pull, if you must. Just be sure to mark the driveshaft flange and diff flange, so you put it back together the same way.
