A friends mechanic had a RX7 owner frequent his shop. One day the compression went and the guy parked in a field to rot while he went and purchased another. My friend ran into him at the shop seeing the new car and asked him what happened to the old one. Said I (via my friend) was welcome to have it. Had it towed to my place for $50 and it was mine. 88 base that is now a full-blown TII racecar.

I bought my 87 Turbo II from a insurance actuion for $500.00. 64k miles on the car but had the notorious engine fire. 5k later she is 100% new all OEM parts. she has 84k and still tickin
