Question Where is the wire to the Water Thermoswich?

I guess i must have broke the wire off working on the car and now i can't find it. The wire broke off from the clip, which doesn't help, but I can't find any single wires without clips. Any advice where to look? Also would it be harmful to run the car without it? I know it turns the fan on when the ignition isn't on but what else does it do? Thanks.

The thermoswitch activates a small auxiliary electric fan on automatic n/a models and turbo models. It's not critical to have it running, as there is already a clutch fan.
