Where to take my FC
Well I just got off the phone with Rotary reliability and their thinking it'll be 600-700 bucks to go through everything. Considering I just had to quit my job yesterday, that sucks. Does anyone else know of any good rotary shops in South CA? Im in OC myself.

They also think I should check my compression. Could something have gone massively wrong which would have dropped my compression like this while the manifold was apart?

You could easily have dropped something down the intake that would have killed compression, even a few small chips of aluminum. Gotta make sure to cover the intake with rags or tape or somthing.
Without more info, my only other guess is a major vacuum leak.
Of course, why am I guessing w/out knowing the prob?

lol. Well the problem is this: The manifold had been developing a vacuum leak from when I had it apart the first time (took out ACV, airpump etc). I picked up new gaskets from Mazda and about 10ft of vacuum line. So I took off the manifold, everything went routine. Till I snapped two OMP lines. Cost=50bucks. I got the old gasket off put the new ones on, connected all the new lines. Turned on the car after putting it all back together and it wouldnt hold an idle under 3krpm. So I continued to take it apart and search again almost 2 or 3 times. In the process I snapped some kinda egr screw on the side of the engine but sealed it off (Cost=unknown so far). Everything looks sealed off but im still pretty new to engine mechs. All the lines meet up, all the bolts are tightened. I have no clue what else it is thats keeping the car running like this

My advice: don't take it in. It's definitely a vacuum leak: hard to find, but yoiu know its there.
It is hard to hear the hiss of a vacuum leak, I know, but perhaps there are some easier things you can try to help you find it.
Try hooking up a vacuum hand-pump. use it, and listen for the hiss.
Try hooking up a 15psi-regulated air compressor, and listen for the hiss. Try spraying the engine (careful of Elec. components) in soap water and watching for the compressed air to make bubbles.
Just replace the hoses with silicone.
I mean, you know what the problem is, and sure, its frustrating, but not impossible to find. The Shop will only do the same thing you will.
