I should punch you.

That out of the way you have an 8k redline. YOu do not need and can not use the extra 3k rpms. And you have a redline buzzer which is more usable than a shift light.

Something tells me that when Mazda designed the car they didn't expect to have to facilitate the huge *** tach crowd. Just messin with you, it's your car so do whatever you feel like, no skin off my back. The stock tach is more than adequate for me, and I doubt you'll want to try taking your car up to 11k. Plus I enjoy being able to look out my windshield. I'm thinking you're going to have to wire that tach into the original harness, I know a kid that did it to his civic because it never had a tach to begin with, and he said it was pretty painless. So in short, follow the instruction with the tach and possibly consult the factory wiring diagram.

Enjoy ShIfTiNg MaD qUiK!

Hmm...I mean, its your car and all, but a big, no wait, HUGE thing sitting up on your dash for starters does not look cool, it just looks like a happymeal toy bolted on to your dash. Second, its not like you don't have a fully functional one already right in front of your face. Third, if your going to say something about using it as a shift light, they sell shift lights seperate from the huge ugly *** tachs, and we already have a built in buzzer to act as a sign of when to shift. So my question is, why bother spending money on a huge pointless ugly thing when you could be saving for something that would actually make your car go faster?

contact AutoMeter over the phone. I had to call them twice before for help, once for advice for a fuse. The other time to replace a defective gauge. They were very helpfull both times.

Look for an electrical connector leading to the negative terminal of the coil.

why would you need a shift light if you have a automatic?

holy **** he does have an automatic!! Then why...just why? maybe its for when he does his 5-speed swap. Anyway the RX7 tach is a lot bigger (IMO) then the stock tachs on most cars. I could maybe see a shift light (but I wouldnt bother with one anyway) but there is no need for 2 tachs especially when the stock one is so damn big!

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

Ok, i am providing no help, so I know mark will just delete this...

WHY!!!

A) Your stock tach goes to 9K
B) Your car will never go past 9K for S5
C) It may look good to you, and more power to you... but IMO, and 99 percent of everybody here... THEY LOOK LIKE ****!!!
D) You're making APC richer, when in fact you could be making your car GO FASTER....

Hey, im just giving MY opinion here

Now that your tach is taken care off, you can fix your headlights.

mount it on the steering wheel so the cable gets all tangled up when you turn.

the outside (drivers side) rearview mirror would work well too. you could be merging over in traffic and notice that your new "tack" goes up to 11k rpms.

Is this what our high school students are like now? ::sigh:: I haat two tink how stoopid thees kidds be in few mor genermarations...

I know it's a forum, so spelling and grammar are far from top priority (I never use proper grammar on the forum...) but please, at least attempt to spell words like "dog" and "cat" correctly...

I'd address the "tach issue" but I figure I might as well mock the less stupid parts of your post-
