Where does this plug Into? *PICS*
With the help of HAILERS on a previous thread I was able to Identify that the harness plug below Is the "connector between front and rear harness" as per FSM 50-102. This Is a single harness with 4 wires coming out of It (green, red, green/yellow,green/red. This Is for the power door lock system.
Okay, the harness has been Identified, great. Now, where does this sucker plug Into?

I'm not sure. You might ohm out that four wire plug back to the rear of the car where there is/was supposed to be a power door lock relay (that's the R-33 location in the jpg).
I'd pick just one wire to do that. Say the red. Ohm it out from R-33's red wire to the plug FR-04 in your picture. If it ohms out..................then what your looking for is a short harness called the Front Door Number One harness. I say it's short........but don't KNOW that is the case. Looks like it'd be short in the jpg.
I don't own a car with this feature to the best of my knowledge............and I ain't a gonna go tear up my car to see if my car(s) have the set up minus the relays etc. Sorry 'bout that.
The short harness would be b/t the FR-04 and the FDR-01 in the jpg attached. Maybe someone with experience with this can help out.
The parts fische might hold the answer, but I can't bring myself to look thru that right now. Parts fische is in the FAQ. Seems the ref designators in the diagram would match the parts fische.

Oh sorry, this Is for a 87 TII using a brand new, yes NEW, 88 GXL front (main) harness. Thanks for checking though. The front harness was on my other FC for a short time and was later swapped Into my S4 TII. It worked no problem prior.
Yeah, I'll ring-out those wires and see If there Is a short. Gotta start somewhere. I can see In the FSM that they terminate to the pwr door lock relay but shows no Indication as to where the harness plugs Into. Unless I am missing the obvious.

Oh,another guess.
There is a small harness that makes it's way up to the Power sunroof, and it connects around the Fuse box area too Tony.
IF you get really Stuck,I can always pop the panel off around the Fuse panel and look.
Just let me know it that would help you Too,Ok Tony?,Cheers Dave.

Someones not reading. The plug is for the power locks. Door power locks. He appears from the diagrams out of the FSM, to be missing a short harness that I described in my last post.
It has nothing to do with anything else but door power locks. If the original car did not have power locks........it's a moot question.

^ the amount of times i have heard that it could be the sunroof plug. dont mention it unless you know the wires.to the op , does this one have power d/l? I'll look after work , say 2-230 at mine and tell you if it is the short side or not. im pretty sure that side feeds over to the passanger side under/behind the dash. I'll let you know on the morrow
edit if you look at hailers jpg its highlighted in red , and is not the plug youre looking at but what it plugs into. the harness in your pic shows it to go behind the cpu , which would show it then goes in the meter harness along to the pass side any plugs to the left above say six inches left of the cpu go to the back of the car.

sorry should have said any more here is a pic before i removed that optional wiring happened to long ago for me to remember immediately , but that plug sends all those wires beside the firewall in the meter harness to the passanger side.it gets no power if unplugged and could be left , just like the aas wiring it had the option but wasnt utilized on all vehicles.

Yeah, my car previously had pwr locks (was working before) as the new `87 TII has pwr locks aswell.
Boston, you are telling me that the two areas circled Is where the 2 harness plugs Into (or In this case to each other)?
Man, If this Is Is the case, not only will I be relieved, but shocked that I couldn't solves this. Thank goodness for the forum. I'll have a looksy when I see my car. If I had known this sooner I would have checked today. I went to see my car today to Install a Mazdatrix shifter along with new shifter boots.

No the one on the left is unresolved , nothing in all the wiring section of the fsm shows what that is , it is not shown as the plug for the d/l's either. This is just the pic I had edited for a previous post , sorry or the confusion.

If the plug on the left of the picture has two wires, and one wire is L/W and the other L/Y, then that plug is for a speaker on the drivers side to the left of the steering column and near the door. Page 50-99

the 1st 1 i wasn't talking about the white plug thats hooked up to the coil it was just out of focus. i was referring to the little black 1 its in the coil harness but not hooked to anything. also theres nothing to plug the 2nd 1 into i assume there was an option for a temp switch to be in the thermostat housing? also how can i use this for something after market

seems i would have to get the thermostat housing from those models then and ten the sensor. and possibly the computer would know enough to trigger a fan someplace lol
