Where did you guys get your engines?
Where did you guy your rebuilt engines at? Who here did it themselves? If you did it yourself, how did you know how and whether or not you did a good job? I'm asking because I want to buy an FC was wondering where I could buy a 13BT...Thanks guys

there are a lot of good rotary mechanics in the northern cali area, i don't know any of them b/c i'm socal, but if you do a search in the west forum, there are a few good mechanics out in the bay area... as for buying an engine... yeah, if you search, you'll find a bunch of places that can help you out w/ getting a 13bt

I have done my own since the RX-2 came to the states. I learned as a 18 year old fresh out of HS. Was very easy then. Other than than the ocasional vac leaks, its a very enjoyable car to wrench. I was assemblying one this past weekend and the neighbors came over with beer in tow just to watch. I even showed them the old run without distributior caps trick on my RX-3 i am going to restore. One guy owns a body shop and he spent an hour looking for the "real" distributor - LOL!
I find engines in junk yards. I look for fresh kill. I always convince the guy behind the counter to sell me the engine as a core - alot cheaper. And, I rebuild from there.
