where to buy delrin? raw material

Hey guys. Im wondering where I can buy material to myake my own bushings? I was trying to contact MMR direct for their delrin bushigns, but htey are nowhere to found. Everyone else wants an arm and a leg for a few bushings. It looks I can spend 500+ on bushings alone. I'm not making that much money right now. So I'm thinking about making my own with a lathe.

There's online stores that sell plastic stock. Do a quick google search and you'll find a bunch of them.

+1 for McMaster, used this place lots for my robots. Used to be a great service until they refused to ship to Canada unless you are a buisness. DOH. I don't think they have the same buisness rule for the states. None the less great place, lots of selection worth checking out

**** McMaster Carr.
They used to ship U.S. Postal to Hawaii, then they changed their policy all of a sudden...even though you could pick this option on their website.

I ordered three packs of o-rings, which could've fit in a 41 cents 1st class envelope, but got charged $70 (!!!) cause they shipped UPS 2nd day from two separate warehouses.
When I bitched about it to their customer service, no one wanted to listen.
Basically I was S...O...L.

I can find almost any raw material on eBay.
Usually cheaper too.

If yuou live in any kind of metropolitan area there will be a place that sells plastics of all kinds. Check your phone book. If they have any counter sales area theywill sometimes have drops for sale by weight. I have a place near me that I get chunks in all shapes and sizes for a couple bucks each.

Last time I bought some 2" dia stock it was about $40 for three feet.
