Save a little more money and get a front mount (custom one, not a stupid greddy one for like 800 bucks or more). That way you can keep your n/a hood and have a front mount.

Yah i hear ya on the tails. I didn't want to pay those prices so I just stalked ebay and the for sale section until some came around when no one was interested in them (this lasted like a day). I was able to talk the seller down to 130 bucks shipped to my door, I was really happy for that.

I don't think s5 tails are rice, though.

Get used to it. Whenever an n/a guy says he wants a TII hood there will be a group of ppl that come out and yell rice, just the way it is around here. Too many people on this forum think some of the simplest things are rice, when in reality it seems like the majority don't really care, they just never say anything.

My opinion, it's not rice. It's just a hood that the turbo models had that DOES look better than the flat boring n/a hood. Others disagree, who cares... Do whatever you want if you like it, ultimately it is all up to you. Forget about what people say is rice, that's their problem and the comments are really irritating if you ask me. Did you ask if it was rice? Nope... so why do people always give their opinion on it? I dunno, but it's really not helpful.

Anyways, I'm going to stop talking now before this turns into a flame war. Back to your question at hand, just go to the Parts For Sale/Wanted section at the bottom of the forum. Either look for a thread where someone is parting out a turbo car or selling a turbo hood and post there, or make a "WTB: Turbo hood" post. You can also check ebay frequently, and another place to look or post about would be your regional forum. Go into the section that is for your area and make a post asking if anyone close to you has a turbo hood they are willing to part with (this will save on shipping costs too!). Good luck.

LOL, since i am older than dirt(y old man) would that make me dirty ricer?

Santiago, you have to admit a vert with the tii body stuff does look very good - rice or not. After seeing landers (I know he has a turbo under there) I went the same way.

As far as finding the hood, I bought one from this forum and one from anotehr forum. easy to find!

Well, if my friend isn't gonna use the extra set of s5 tails I have, I'll sell them. I'll look around and see what everyone else is offering, then I'll go lower. I don't really have any need for them..... We'll see.....I'll post later with more information

it isnt true rice, but a turbo hood belongs on a turbo because it has horsepower, why put a tII hood on a slow *** n/a vert? i own one and yes it is slow as ****. it just makes your car look that much slower to the civic si that wasted it among other cars. btw i own 3 n/a's and no turbos but i take the TII guys side on this one. if its a turbo vert then it should have the hood. parts for these cars are already expensive and rare enough, tII hoods are very rare themselves as many tII's are long since dead or wrecked. mark my words i wont steal a tII hood to put on any of my cars unless they become turbo, and even then i duno that i would do it.

well, since all you guys are yelling rice.....I happen to hate rice, wich is why I didn't ask where I could get a good deal on stickers and a ten foot tall spoiler - fart pipe combo. And for you info, there happens to be a serious turbo engine in this vert. I'm not gonna claim that I know alot about rx7's, cause I don't. But I have been told that there is a 10 sec. engine in this car. So before you call rice, ask me what is underneath the hood, smartass.

it's not rice....it's just a PITA when TII guys need one(imagine the long-lasting "the mexicans are taking our jobs" argument except that in the case of the hoods it is true....the N/A guys ARE taking our hoods.....). What hood are you using right now? i am going to assume you have a FMIC if you do not have a TII hood already......good luck tho...PM reboot, he has one for sale.... ......i don't see the point unless it is functional( for the intercooler) but whatever......I hope to find one when I need it.....and I cannot get a FMIC.....if I do there are more mods I need to consider in order to have the car run right.....

Any one who knows anything knows hood scoops are worthless...

Why are intercoolers now going in front??

Do you put socks in your pants?

Ten second engine? the engine has little to do with time. I could have a 12 second N/a engine in my car. That means nothing man. It could be a 10 second engine at starting lol And if you have a turbo engine you should have some form of an intercooler in there so why don't you already have a TURBO hood?

Time to close this useless waste of bandwidth thread, on something that has been covered countless times.
