The parts Fiche will give you the part numbers - then get them from Mazda - right bolt for the job, grade 8's and all - spendy but no guessing.

Go here http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/2ndgen/manu...%20CHASSIS.pdf Page 58 should show the front bolts..

Good Luck.

I've had the same problem for about a year now. The heads aren't rounded off but at least one of the bolts is rusted in place. The only place I found replacement bolts was the Mazda dealer. The threads on the bolts aren't on the end like normal bolts they are about halfway up the bolt shaft. I solved my problem by just taking off the entire caliper when I need to change the brake pads or rotors. I never figured out how to remove the bolts and figured I'd just have to replace the entire caliper. I took it off and just removed the old pads and inserted new ones and reinstalled the caliper. It works as good as it ever has.

www.VictoriaBritish.com also might have the exact thing. They show what looks like every bolt, nut and washer in exploded views in their catalog that is specific to rx7's. Heck their diagrams for suspension are even better than the maintenance manuals I down loaded.

lol

i don't know exactly what the caliper looks like

but most likely you dont need to cut them off

craftsman bolt out

they are spiral taps you put on the bolts

as you turn it, they have spiral shaped teeth that will dig into the bolt and let you take it out with socket

tip:

Never use a 12 point socket - it WILL round your bolt
use a 6 point socket, I was able to take one out by impacting it out.

good luck

Put some anti-sieze on the new ones to prevent a repeat.

if you have the tools to do so, figure out the size of the bolt and just go buy one... generally some hardware stores and most auto parts stores can get you the hook ups, eh?

EDIT: holy ****, my 777th post
