Wheel Studs? Longer than OEM but not costing a fortune?
So pretty much my 90 FC has a few broken studs. At the same time I also got wheel spacers. I cannot use the spacers without longer studs. I was told by a friend that either camaro or corvetter studs fit, and are longer. I wanted to know what OEM studs fit and are longer, by at least 1 inch. Thanks guys.

Personally I think that spacers should not be allowed on any wheels ,but if that is what you are doing and want to go an extra inch long which will leave almost twice as long of stud protruding from the hub then at least try to find studs that have a better hardness rating .. The pressures on the stud will increase dramatically when you extend the stud because the bolt can flex more which is what causes studs to break in the first Place ... If you already have broken studs you could quite easily have more of the same problem but magnified .. Be carefull what you are doing and don't overtighten them . Check the FSM's out they will tell you what you need to know to change them .

I don't think it would be too bad, most people I know just beat out the old one with a hammer and pop in the new one, unless the 7 is different. Also I think I have some 4th gen camaro studs sitting around, I'll compare tomorrow if I get some time.

Yea I installed APR studs 3.25" front and rear. The rears stick out further than the fronts because of the hubs. Hammer in, hammer out. Careful not to miss and screw up the hub. Can't remember from which they were from but i think Camaro's are same. Let you know part # when i find it

there are a bunch of 12mm x 1.5, the ones i have are fir a GM car, can't remember which one. but you have to match the knurl size too. the GM ones are just a couple thousandths bigger then ours but they'll work.
buy the 3.25" ones and you can cut them to length after.

The late model camaro/vette ones from ARP fit properly and are made in two or three different extended sizes.

i took the hubs off, front at back, used a bench vice to get then started then used a hammer to get them all the way in.
when i pulled the rear hubs off, one of the outer bearing races came with, did the studs and put the hub and race back onto the car with no issue. took a little hammer tapping top and bottem and the hub wiggled out.

The proper part number
These are the ones you want, in either 2.5" or 3.25" lengths. With 3.25" in front and 2.5" in the back it ends up being ~1" longer all around, with the front being slightly longer than the rear.

my rear bearings were due to be replaced anyways. but my budget was spent last year. full set of new seals and bearings this year. 10inch wide tires and jumping of curbs most of the day doesn't help much either.

If anyone is interested, I have a set of the ARP 2.5 in (ARP-100-7708) extended studs and some 7/16 in spacers I have never used for sale. They cost me $40 plus shipping so I'll let them go for $30 plus shipping. I decided not to install them as my rear bearings are fine and I didn't want to deal with it all. I plan on getting bolt on spacers this summer instead. With my car on jack stands, I test fitted the spacers and it pushed my 17x8 +35mm rear wheels right out to the inside of the fender lip. PM me if anyone is interested.
