Whats it worth..87TII
So I bought a 87 TII tonight. Got a great deal on it I am sure. Bought it from the original owner with 74k miles. Everything is intack. Needs some work as it has been sitting for 8-10 years. Clear coat is peeling bad (car was resprayed right before he parked it). Body is perfect except small dent in front fender. Interior is fine no rips or worn spots. With a good cleaning the interior will be a 8 out of a 10 just because its old.. Now as far as the motor goes. Needs a rebuild but I have a complete pullout that runs sitting in my garage. So I will either rebuild that core or the one in it. Have not decided if I want to redue it or just flip it.
Whats this worth, in real world, not what another TII owner wishes it was worth but in its current condition before I spend any money on it what would be a fair price if I sold it?
Leaning towards a new paint, rebuild-streetport-few bolt ons-sick wheels and drop it down. Then drive it and enjoy.

That's a trick question you are asking!
Nothing is worth anything unless someone is willing to buy it then there are many variables involved in the price.
Guidelines such as Kelley blue book are just that.
All is dependent on factors such as the economy(sucks right now) so the normal value for an item is perhaps 30-60% below what it would bring if the economy was good.
Also values vary depending on your geographical area. Some areas are saturated with cars, others have very little or none of a particular model. A clean no rust car may bring more money from someone that lives in a area that is prone to rusting out cars versus someone who lives in a dry climate who is used to rust free cars.
Like I said it is a "Trick" question and asking members on this site is not exactly going to get you a better answer. Most members here are used to getting cheap cars and well to put it honestly, expect something for nothing.
If you bought it to resell it then put the least amount of money into making it look well and run well then dump it. Most of us don't buy our 7's to turn around and sell! :-)

Link to a 7 that is for sale here that is way under what Kelley Blue book is. If I had the money I would buy this car in a heartbeat!

looks good...
but... do something about that steering wheel... and the over spray on the headlight bothers me...
as far as price goes... picked up a 86 N/a a few years ago in the same condition for $700... so id be willing to fork out possibly $1000ish for a TII in the same condition. not sure if thats the answer youre looking for, but it is early for my and my brain hasnt started running yet.

steering wheel fixed..lol.. As far as the over spray it was respreayed 10+ years ago and the jackass didnt do a very good job to remove things properly. Also I am guessing thats why the clearcoat is peeling... I was thinking I would keep it or if I sold 1500 bucks. But leaning towards keeping.
