I can't tell what the center electrodes look like for sure because of the angle and fuzziness of the image, but they do look pretty short. I guess that would indicate they have been in there far too long and basically burned up. The dark color on the areas surrounding the center electrode doesn't mean much, although a little more brown would be nice.

yea i just replaced the plugs the other day, after quite a lot of work i have finally gotten the car to run beautifully so now I'm working on fine tuning everything, starting with the fuel. these plugs had been used when the car was running poorly so i guess there not a great indicator of how its running. side question, what would you guys recommend as a replacement O2 sensor? I've been looking at the ones Rotary Performance sells ( http://rx7.com/store/rx7/fcfuel.html ) are those good? are they wide band, do i even need wideband? i'm thinking about getting an apexi safc, would a normal o2 sensor do the job for a na motor???
