they will not work on our cars! you will need an aftermarket ECU to get rid of the AFM! sorry but it is true they don't serve anypurpose on our cars! and you can get them at any rice/performance shop!
and yes they do run those cars like that, usually those are for drag racing only type dealies but some people think it is just a good for the street as it is for the strip!

Before you guys criticise something just because its anodised purple, you should think of the engineering principles behind it.

Theyre called velocity stacks like GarageBoy said. Theyre real popular on carb setups and individual throttle body setups. The bigger the velocity stack, the better the air flows in. Do a search for them on the internet to learn more about them.
ps.
Yes thats an FD with a supra engine. It also has an ugly hood that resembles a jack-o-lantern.

Trust me I know the engineering principals behind It i have taken $1000's worth of classes to understand it, But when you are talking about it in the afm sense, it will not gain anything. Any gains would be outweighed by the afm! if there was no need for an afm then These do have advantages, but they don't need to be that thick nor do they have to be purple to serve their purpose .
I was not criticising it. I stated very clearly that "unless" you have an aftermarket ecu which allos you to ditch the afm these will not be worth the time or money! after which then every little bit counts!
It is not the bell mouth per say that reduces the turbulence it is the ventury effect!

Those particular intakes may not be able to be used on a relatively stock FC, but that doesn't mean smaller ones can't be used in other locations to improve flow.

I took $1000's of dollars worth of courses too, now I do it for a living.
