whats more likely to cause blown motor?

whats more likely to cause apex seal failure.. worn housings or worn seals?

What kind of car?

Turbo I'd say apex seal failure.

N/A I'd say either losing an apex seal due to crabon or one of the seals going.

worn seals, all the way around. You can take old *** chrome flaked housings and put new seals against them and they won't break for years (without other intervening factors, that is). They might not seal all that well, but they wont break. Broken seals are result of wear or detonation.

flipping through rotaryaviations site, they cite worn housings as causing apex seal damage.. thats why i was wondering
