whats a good fuel setup for 12bls of boost?
hi i have my 1987 TII that i am soon to boost, i dont want to have to mess with the comp at all besides a FCD. what would be your sugestion for a fuel set up. I was thinking along the lines of 720cc secondarys, adjustible FPR, and walbro 225. I also want to keep the car relible so thats Y i dont want to change the primarys but do you guys think it would run way too lean untill the secondays come on? this is ether going to be on the stock s4 turbo or a s5 turbo if i can find one online for a decent price. i just want your guys technical advice.
thanks again.
thanks again.

srry bout that, when i say boost or boosted I mean over the stock 6psi or what ever it is. So far on the car is:
-full 3" exhaust
-intake
-10.3mm plug wires
-(4)720cc injecors (yeah i know, i'm dumb)
what i plan on getting is:
-larger intercooler and mount against radiator w/ pipeing
-adjustible BOV
-manual boost controler
-yoohoo belt from Pineapple racing
-16" electric fan
-boost gauge
-AF ratio gauge
-wide band O2 sensor
-550cc primary injectors
-FCD
and maybe some other lil piddly stuff

well
1. try putting there 550cc primaries back,
2. FCD
3. the fuel controller is kinda important if you replaced the stock inj.,
4. the open exhaust should help you boost 10psi at least
5.boost controller should bring you up to 12 psi but I'd try to get at 255lph fuel pump (venom or walboro)
I don't know if this is what you're asking for but I think this is a reasonable list of what you need but the gurus will chime in and modify the list if it needs to be.

the stock turbo is supposed to have a max trim of 12psi, and i had leaking injctors so i put the 720s in but i think i'll put my old 550cc secondarys were the primarys are and keep the 720cc secondarys sence the primarys tend to be the ones that leak.

well 12lbs. of boost is dangerous IF you have the stock fuel system. 12psi should be ok for this guy. once you get to 13-14 psi you're not actually getting any performance out of it. Wait to see if a Guru chimes in to confirm 12psi with you fuel is ok.

Get an rtek 2.0 instead of the fcd and the fuel controller. It costs about the same as getting a fcd and a Fuel Controller and dose more.

the rtek 1.8 is $125 it dose the FCD stuff and is setup to run 4 720cc injectors
the rtek 2.0 is 400, or 300 if upgraded from a rtek1.X and will allow you to modify your fuel maps, timing maps, and datalog.
Above i said the rtek2.0 will cost you the same as a FCD AND a Fuel Controller together. A SAFC II costs around 300.
the Rtek is just chipping your stock ECU. The hard part is taking your ecu out and waiting for it get back
Go read there web sight http://www.pocketlogger.com/index.php?pid=rtek7

you should run fine with that setup man, just make sure the fpr is 1:1, i ran the same setup you have for like 2 years at 12psi and never had any problems but i did had a safc2 to controll the fuel. try getting and rtek or a safc and your set.

Well he could, but if its the stock turbo he is doing more harm then good. (he isnt making any power above 10 psi.) If the only mods are fcd and downpipe, he would be running out of fuel, (running SUPER lean especially with stock t2 fuel pump), have extremely high intake temps (the stock TMIC is useless above 10 psi), and also must have either a closed wastegate or he has to pull in 4th for days to get up to 14 psi with just the down pipe (if he kept the cat and such). Also although a FCD stops fuel cut after the 7/8ish psi, the stock computer doesn't adjust timing after that.
Personally he desirves a kick in the nuts for either hurting his car, running w/o a way to control fuel, (and upgrading his fuel) and or for just being stupid and lying.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks

OH WOW and ........ a fcd Doesn't turn up the boost..haha he would need a boost controller. I cant believe I missed that! If he doens't then add another kick to the nuts.

with that setup you should be in the 200-220whp and tq should be like 200 or so. i did 220 but my car is an s5, also the fpr you can get if you want, personally i ran the setup without the fpr, i installed my fpr just recently. my car was running great without one, but ive had to mount it now cause i changed to bigger turbo etc. it's a good tool none the less.

that's a little strange, when i put my rb turboback i only hit 11psi max at wot, i had to get a boost controller to get to 12psi.
