What will it take to sell my 7??????

Damn. I did not get one response from my ads. WTF am I doing wrong. It is a nice vert w/ new rebuild. I am asking 6500 for it or offer but, no one is biting.

I had put tons of time and money into it..I have seen others sell for more...?? I think it is resonable.

What do you guys think....http://photos.yahoo.com/jmseven7

I really want another t2.

Try eBay. Verts sell for pretty high all the time there. No one on the forum is going to be buying a vert it seems unless it's a rolling chassis and a good canidate for a TII swap.

Sounds like you are starting at about $1000 too high in price, unless it has very low miles.

It does look nice, but even dealers are asking $6000 or less for 90-91 verts, and you know they would bargin down another $1000 to $1500 pretty easy. Private party is always at least $1000 less than dealers unless there is something really outstanding about the car.

Hold onto it until mid June/July, the market for convertibles in CA always goes back up then.

If you go to autotrader.com or cars.com, they sell as high as $9k. The lowest w/o a rebuild or engine gets 4-5K. It currently has 138K miles, but only has 10k on the engine. I drive it daily and is SUPER reliable.

I will take that advise on waiting....I guess I really have to put it in the paper or a REAL ad.

Thanks,

There is a 90 'vert down the street from me at a local dealer for only $5500 with only 75K miles on its clock. Its been at that dealer for 3 months now, and is in as good shape as yours appears.

Hell, another dealer was asking $3800 for mine when I walked onto the lot, but I got it for $2500.

Now granted I am in NorCal so 'verts are not as desirable as in So Cal, but...prices appear to be pretty much the same over the whole state.

Just because someone asks for $9000 (or even $6500) on Auto trader, because KBB or Edmunds told them they should, doesn't mean they ever are going to get it.

The other drawback is the motor. Miatas sell better for more money in most parts of the country, because the average joe is afraid again of the rotary (thanks no small part to the FD quality). So I doubt you will get much more than what comparible year Miata's are being sold for in your area, even though the RX-7 'vert is night and day a better car than the girly girl 89-94 Miata.
