what is this stuff?????????
in this pic, you will see the nasty green "shtuff" that clogged one of the coolant passages on my SE's motor. what is that stuff anyhow?

Looks like aluminum oxide to me...
Whitish stuff (right side of water pump housing) is definitely aluminum oxide.  The green stuff is probably aluminum oxide plus coolant to give it a green tinge to it...

Rusty coolant will be the death of your engine. Ask me how I know.
