what shifter is this?

hey, some one had given me a extra shifter that they told me it was an s4 shifter but it is clearly different than a normal s4 shifter. its not a short throw im pretty sure. but as you can see in the picture at the bottom its bent back alittle and its thinner everywhere other than the big ball. im just wondering what this shifter is and if thered be any reason to use it as opposed to the normal s4 shifter/

It could be from a first gen, which shares the same thread pattern and, from the ones ive seen, are slightly bent

It could be just a bent S4 shifter, I talked to my friend who has one and he showed me it (looks the same). According to him, a lot of people especially in Japan, like to do that to make it faster to move into 2nd and 4th gear and keep it in place. Or something like that lol. I forgot how explained it, not sure if that makes any sense or helps.
