What is this part?

Found this in a box of goodies. Don't know what it is, wires are broke off of it.

broken Rad coolant level sender
it usually has a small wire coming off it that connects to the Engine harness.
that little part senses the Coolant level..and is Responsible for that Freakin annoying BEEEPP that you get when the rad is low on Coolant!

Reverse switch, with broken wires? Does the end of the part push into itself, like a switch would?

Yep, it pushes in. I assumed some wires were missing, there are two bare spots that look like its missing solder.

Neutral switch or 5th gear/reverse switch would be my guess. It does appear to be broken, so there's not much point in keeping it.

Mazda... or you could probably buy a used tranny with the switch for the same price Mazda will charge for a new one.

If you have time to kill, you can probably dig all the crap out of the top, where the wires attached, attach new wires, and fill it back up with silicon.

Sounds like the easiest option. Just have to buy some connectors.
