I have the same deck as him. I got it last year. All of the explodes have a red/orange theme. My brother got the first one the week it came out and it was orange and red (sony CDX-4000). I got mine later (sony CDX-7000). and then I got one for the mr2 (same one that he has LX-550). I think it goes well with the amber interior light colors. if you really want a picture I can get you one, but I'll wait until it gets dark so that you can see the interior lights as well.\

they also have one for a bit over $300 that will play a disk of mp3s.

Pioneer Premier DEX-P1R...costs a **** load....a little difficult to learn how to use, but is probably one of the best decks out in the market.

Pioneer DEH-P730

From their Premier line, selectable HPF's for all of the channels as well as an adjustable LPF for the sub pre-out. this deck has the funky OEL display with screen savers.

Noe if I could only chanhes the green lights of the buttons to blue?

I work for a car stereo store and we sell all of the top names, no cd player gives off better sound than an Alpine. I have a Alpine cda7995 in my 87 n/a with 5 1/4 Alpine Type R's in the dash and 6 1/2 Type R's in th rear, powered by my old JBL GTQ amp pushing 60 watts rms and my system bumps even without subs. I am planning to replace my JBL amp with an Alpine and put 2 alpine Type R 12's powered by and alpine amp of course. If your looking for the best sounds quality along with something that's gonna bump, go Alpine no question!
