What kind of A/C compressor do I need?
I need help... In trying to put A/C back in my car, I got a compressor (Sanden) locally and the rest of the stuff elsewhere. When I went to attach it, it's obvious the fitting is meant for a different type of compressor. Now the shop manual shows a Nippon style, but the fittings they show for the Nippon does not look like what I have either.
If anyone has the two hoses I need to use a Sanden compressor it would be much appreciated, as I'm sure the compressors cost a lot more and more to ship as well.

YOUR picture shows a hose manifold that is for a SANDEN. BUT the compressor does not look like MY Sanden.
I have one car with a Sanden, and that hose manifold in your picture matches the one in that car. THere is a single bolt that holds it to the compressor. The other car has a NIPPON and it's hose are different. They, each hose have a *B*nut on each hose and screw on to the compressor.
My cars are S4 and I know nothing about S5. Maybe there is another Sanden with a different hose manifold that attaches to that Sanden compressor in your picture????

I looked at the jpg out of the manual you just posted. Now that Sanden hose manifold is different than the S4 ones I have. The Series 4 have BOTH hose attaching to a common manifold that is held to the compressore with one bolt.
The picture out of the fsm you attached seems to show the hose being seperate i.e. not connected to a single manifold. That is a jpg out of a S5 manual so maybe there was a change in the hose attachments for the S5 vs the S4?? Probably.

Yes, the Sanden compressors have different fittings from S4 to S5. I had someone swap my S5 compressor for an S4. Everything else should be the same.
