running that rich could be an injector stuck open.....I imagine you're having trouble starting it too?
How do you know the alternator is good? Did you test it with a digital multimeter? 99.9% of charging problems are the alternator......0.1% are huge shorts that drain the battery no matter how much amperage the alt. puts out.

Charging system:
First check the fan belt. Then check the cables & connectors.
My quick voltage test:
Engine running, headlights & heater fan on high:
Alternator post to alternator frame = 14-14.5 volts (verifies the alternator output)
alternator post to battery (+) = 0 volts (verifies the primary + wire)
alternator frame to battery (-) = 0 volts (verifies the primary ground)
Turn off the motor, but leave the lights on.
Battery (+) to battery (-) = ~12.5 volts and holds steady. (verifies battery)
Running rich:
First check the FPR vac line & solenoid.
If manifold vacuum is not getting to the FPR, you will run rich everywhere but WOT.
The "fuel & emissions” section of the manual will help you.
There is a link in my sig below. Download & print what you need.
