I'll scan a picture tomorrow. I was too lazy to look in the shed at the junk there and gave a flip answer. Could look at the wife's car also, but......I'm lazy. The Scathcat is most likely right. Got work to do now.

IIRC, the brake booster line bolts on via a banjo bolt onto LIM beside the ACV.... this is not what's pictured, as far as I can tell.

Yes.
If the ACV is removed and the passages sealed (gasket or ACV on the block off plate), you can leave that nipple uncapped without causing any vacuum leaks or any other problems.

Answer: Its the split air pipe which connects to the catalytic convertor on an S4 N/A only.
