What are good wheels for an 88 SE?

Your choices are going to be somewhat limited in that you're looking for 4 lug wheels. Many more choices for the 5 lug patterns. ROTA and Konig come to mind for reasonably priced 4 luggers. You might also want to look over the posts in the wheels/suspension/brakes forum. Probably more info there.

^ yah but those are probably still out of his price range, hes got a s4 se after all lol
Just dont settle for sportwacks!!!
I say save the wheel money and just put it towards 5lug swap and 5lug stockers for now. Spending the money on rims now, and still be a bottom of the line model
