^^^^if thats true....how old is the aunt? is she cute?

lol seriously what is the best adivce u can get, leave ur car stock, get some good springs and some tires u dont mind ****** up, there aint no point in u getting the best equipment if u dont kno how to drive. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE im in ur same shoes learnin how to drift and ask some of my friends, Ive crashed my car a number of times, until u become a good driver PERIOD.....then try drifting....worse feeling in the world u think ur doing something soo cool and u drift into a construction zone like i did.....-_- ....ive wasted more money returnin my car back to driveable condition than performance parts because i jus jumped into drifting like u. Dont rush it and dont kill urself remember DONT BE A RICER!!.....

(FC3SFREEK)Rotor7venT2: she didnt know what kinda engine it was uhhh shes a speed demon SHUT THA **** UP

lmaolmao pwned sorry

The first gen maximas were rear wheel drive... up to like 84 I think... One of the guys who I autocross with has a First gen maxima with a 280zx turbo motor in it.. It's a pretty sweet car. The maxima(1989) this guy is talking about is a 3rd gen so its front wheel drive and It has the low power V6 for that generation (the non turbo 80's 300zx v6)... no r32 engine...

Stanzas were fwd as far as I know too... maybe the 1st gen was rear wheel drive but every one I've seen was fwd.

all i have in my car is dtss eliminators, ajustable endlinks, clutch, and short shifter other than that its all stock. seems to handle very very well to me, very neutral. slides very nice and controlable. so i basically learn how to drive your car before you upgrade. i am pretty content with the way my car is for now

Well the thing was my friends aunt really isn't much into the drifting scene
she just likes going fast thats all,
and she went to a couple of guys and she said put a very fast engine and she paid them.
For some reason the guys put in a r32 engine
if the guys wanted to they could of put in a diffrent engine with just a bit more torque and horses, but no they didn't for some reason they put the r32
the guys could of ripped her off if they wanted to
the reason why the car was not front WD was because the car was alterd,
so then it was a all wheel drive and it was a 1989
Even i was amazed when i found out
and yeah shes hot she was 27 when she gave my friend her car
shes the youngest aunt he has
The reason why she gave the car away was because the car wasn't working
and my friend just fixed it, it wasn't easy took him a while

The Funny thing is the car is so frieaken Mickey Mouse its not even funny

Shame on you guys for not answering this young man's question! I will now supplement this thread.

There are the steps in which you take to get your car to effectively drift, for no money whatsoever.

1: Find the biggest Swastika emblem you can have printed, and put it on your car. (Primer your car white first for added effect).

2:Nail a book mount to your dash, and add "Mein Kampf" to the mount.

3: Drive your newly modified beauty to the south side of town, very...very slowly.

This will create a tremendous effect. At such point, you will have people trying to catch up to your car, to admire it!

The game is on!

Now, at WOT (Wide open throttle) approach your nearest intersection at full speed. Before you reach the intersection, say this mantra to yourself: "Silly ******, brakes are for kids!". Now, upon reaching the intersection, cut your steering wheel to one direction as hard as you can. You will now have initiated "Drift"

Seriously, man. Just stick to mom's Accord.

1) space your steering rack and relocate the tie rod mounting points about an inch closer to the rack on the spindles. this will increase steering angle

2) add 50-100 lbs to the front of the car or remove it from the rear of the car. this will slow down the pendulum movement of the car.

3) get coilovers and a racing seat with good shoulder and leg bolsters.

just start off with what i said. those are the most important things. after you get it down, then add power and relearn a little bit. then figure out what's still missing and fix that. the end.

Why not just get some $500 RWD car and try to run it into the ground?

Heres a list of all RWD vehicules:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Categor...drive_vehicles

And very yes to the remote empty parking lot. A friend almost got hit by a car while she was on her bike because someone was trying to drift around a corner... in the middle of the day... on an extremely busy road...

Man on a serious note dont listen to these guys if you want to drift let me tell you, get you a good suspension some good used tires a nice helmet its going to take some time to get your car drift ready so start with the basics suspension good brakes nothing expensive and go to drift.com go to drifting 101 to check out the dates that they teach up at irwindale it cost about $150 per seison do that and just practice as you get better then upgrade but save your money and take your time im doing the same thing and its working for me i just had my 86 n/a swaped to a tII so have fun with you car you dont need a 240sx the fc is a good drift car to start in as well
